Education

Education of future Treasurers and their potential employers is the primary goal of the Association.

Thanks to the courtesy of The Association of Corporate Treasurers and The Institute of Chartered Accountants in Australia, we present material presenting basic information about corporate taxation. In the attached material there is a questionnaire with a set of basic questions that determine the work of every treasurer.

PCTA provides two language versions: original - English and Polish. The Polish version was created thanks to the efforts of our colleague Bartek Stachura, who devoted much time and energy so that we could enjoy the affordability of the text of our Anglo-Saxon colleagues.

Bartek's work has been enriched with a correction by Kamil Jellonka and Adam Marczak.

Together, we hope that our work will help all the treasurers in defining the main problems that we all are struggling with.

The essence of Corporate Treasury

At the end of 2008, we received a proposal from the Warsaw School of Economics to share our financial experience with students. SGH authorities selected post-graduate students as recipients of lectures conducted by PCTA members. In February 2009. we started classes in two post-graduate studies: "Financial liquidity management of the enterprise" and "Debt collection".

Working in large, professionally operating companies, we are practitioners who can contribute to the conducted activities with a lot of valuable information boiling down to the statement "How to work in accordance with the art of finance while maintaining efficiency and just common sense". Such an approach may be valuable especially in the changing reality, which is sometimes marked by the word "crisis".

In addition to the lectures themselves, cooperation with SGH also develops through the participation of Association members in co-creating the content of scientific publications issued by SGH. We already have several editions of publications behind which we have participated.

We are currently cooperating with the Warsaw School of Economics. We plan to develop cooperation with other universities, so as to spread knowledge from the world of economics even more. Our goal is to educate students who in future will be passionate professionals working in the field of finance.
